What's the sound quality of this record compared to the original pressing?
hardy
now humanity discovered an ultrasonic cleaning, time to re-press it again ))
Tantil
Terrible, its a vinyl on vinyl pressing. Save up and go for an original copy!

Sound quality of this release is excellent. I can absolutely not complain.

Just like Dog In The Night, another winner from the 1980s that showed what good music is still all about. 10 out of 10!

Mine isn't handnumbered but printed on the back sleeve '***/100'
allegro
Genius piece of funky italo. 100% necessity!

This AFM reissue sounds pretty good. I've read complaints of bad sound quality on other reissues on this label but this one sounds OK. It's cut super loud and the vocals are kind of low with huge bass but overall nice. Happy to have this killer cut in my collection finally

Another booty hittin the floor, now italian producers BWH get a rip off.If you do it, do it right and pay the producers or leave your hands of ffs.

Both songs are absolutely amazing! Livin up and Stop make for the best 12" ever made! Really is annoyingly rare but is worth trying to find! One of the best disco records ever in my opinion!

My dear friends of all the world,BWH with this two songs are(my opinion)on the top of italo disco, others are rare, but none of them have this sound, realy a brrrrrrrrrrr,in your neck,,,something special in words and sound, that make fantasy in real life====no words, only this===Fantastic

Bought by me in the record shop in 1983, february (i was 15 y.o.). I loved more 'Stop' at that time because in that particular moment it took to my mind some old disco releases and listening to it in that period (in Italy) it was quite unusual. Anyway at the actual time they are both amazing tunes! Yes, timeless!

It's not an error that this release has so many 5/5 votes. It's also not an error that so many people want this 12". "Livin' Up"/"Stop" by B.W.H. is probably one of the most powerful and influential italo disco releases of all time. It's no wonder that such a great set of songs is so hard-to-find - that's because we're talking about an extremely limited release, and you know how it goes: the best stuff is always the hardest to find! "Livin' Up" is a dark and very deep electro italo track, while "Stop" has that uplifting, happy synth-line added to it, more suitable for the dancefloor. Both songs have great female vocals and an excellent drumbeat. Both songs are synthesizer fantasies and go well for the breakdancer in you or for whatever purpose you can imagine. A++

The remixes are not that bad but I don't need them, they can't compete with the originals (sounds a cliche but it is like it is). I do especially like 'Stop'. It has a standard italo-accord, the piano sounds a bit false even as the voice. I don't understand half of what they are singing (Italians trying to sing in English?) but it sounds beautiful. That makes it a great record. Today's records are so clean and perfect. It's good to hear something like this sometimes.

I heard this record years ago and heard it again on I-F's 'Mixed Up In The Hague' Vol. 1 en 2. I was so happy to hear that it got a re-release and hey... you can't beat the original versions. 'Stop' has that amazing starting bassline that keeps repeating itself in your head and it's just great to hear those italians trying to sing in english. Yes... let's see if you can find out what the exact lyrics are. 'Livin' Up' is just marvelous! That piano break is insane! A real italo classic that just got reborn. Thanx Casco!

The flipside "Stop" has to be one of the greatest Italo Disco tracks of all times. Awesome piano sequences and reverb effects on the female sung romantic refrain make this one unforgettable.
