A new blues sound was cooking on Chicago’s West Side, and ‘Magic Sam’ Maghett was its head chef. Stripped of harps and horns, the blossoming West Side sound centered on the electric guitar, positioning Sam and his peer Freddie King as prototypical blues guitar heroes. Sam’s ringing guitar approach, soaked in minor-key majesty, did have a few discernible precedents, but it was basically his design.

A really sweet reissue of this absolute blues classic! Pressed perfectly by Pallas in Germany, a thick slab of perfectly flat vinyl & sounds extremely nice! Highly recommended, pick this reissue up if you have the chance!
Fecage
Anyone know if the current Delmark vinyl reissue is any good?

I have this album and it seems to match with this one the closest. But Magic Sam is green on the cover to mine. The label looks a lot like this one, but there are some differences there too. Does anyone have any knowledge of these or know of any links to info on this album?

There was a short run of this in the late 60s that was printed wrong (missing a color?) and is commonly referred to as the "Man from Mars" cover. There is a pic on Discogs. Dig through all the pics until you find it. Hope this helps, OrbitRon1
