Nirvana is a "best-of" compilation album by the American rock band Nirvana, released in October, 2002. It was the third Nirvana album to be released following the death of vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain in April 1994, and the first to feature studio material. It is also the band's first best-of compilation. The album features the d "You Know You're Right", a song recorded in January 1994 during Nirvana's final studio session.
Nirvana was not originally on the show's bill, but offered to play the show to help raise money for Fitz of Depression's Mikey Dees after hearing that the venue was going to cancel it. The band jammed on Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music. Kurt sang "Come As You Are" and "On A Plain" with alternate lyrics. Nirvana played using Rausch's equipment, resulting in Kurt and Krist playing on the opposite sides of the stage as usual. Circulating Recordings. AUD - audience audio.

Nirvana’s legendary 1992 Reading concert is ranked in Kerrang Magazine’s 100 Gigs That Shook The World and voted as Nirvana’s Greatest Moment by fans in an NME poll. Nirvana’s historic August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at the UK’s Reading Festival is one of the most bootlegged concerts in the annals of rock’n’roll. Now, fans can own a pristine copy of that entire performance – color-corrected video from the original film with audio sourced from the original multi-track masters. The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for Blew, About A Girl, School, Negative Creep and first single Love Buzz, and even further back to the mid-’80s for Spank Thru. Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in 1992: Aneurysm, Been A Son and Sliver.
