Richard P. Havens, 1983 is a 1968 double album set by folk rock musician Richie Havens featuring a combination of studio recordings and live material recorded in concert during July 1968. Album · 1970 · 10 Songs. Richie Havens' Woodstock performance cemented his reputation as an affecting soul singer of folk songs and melodies. 1970's Stonehenge (along with Mixed Bag, Richard P. Havens, 1983 and Alarm Clock) represents Havens at his most inventive and comfortable. The era was perfectly designed for a singer of his warm, authoritative tone.
Richie Havens - Stonehenge - LP Vinyl Album. More production that usual for this American Folk music "treasure" - I surmise Richie Havens himself wouldn't be comfortable with that tried but true (pause) cliche, but this trove has it all: some of his most melodic and personal statements, all completely believable: "Open Our Eyes", "Ring Around The Moon", "There's A Hole In The Future", among others here have an inescapable. pull, resonant now for four decades
