Death and taxes is a common reference to the famous quotation: However, Franklin’s letter is not the origin of the phrase, which appeared earlier in Daniel Defoe’s The Political History of the Devil. And in The Cobbler of Preston by Christopher Bullock (1716).

The Ordinary Way is constantly delving into new aural territory and trying to keep themselves on the creative fringes The band’s last two albums- Death & Taxes (self-released, 2001) and Dojo (BOS Records, 2003) show a stark difference over those years, and to hear the material written since Dojo was recorded, one might think they were listening to a completely different (or. at least mentally mutated) clan of musicians. Currently, the group is working on a third album which should be completed in late 2005. With respect to touring, the group maintains a high level of activity in the music scene.
Things as certain as death and taxes, can be more firmly believed. Benjamin Franklin (1706-90) used the form we are currently more familiar with, in a letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy, 1789, which was re-printed in The Works of Benjamin Franklin, 1817: "'In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes. Another thought on the theme of death and taxes is Margaret Mitchell's line from her book Gone With the Wind, 1936: "Death, taxes and childbirth! There's never any convenient time for any of them.
Even though LSV, in his basic lands power ranking, doesn’t even consider them. I truly believe they are the best, but I’m the same guy that loves Eternal Masters Mother of Runes
