He possessed an exceptional singing line in addition to spectacular sound power combined with the incredible ability to smoothen out sounds and breath control. He was also a pioneer in the world of recording which played a significant role in increasing his popularity. Enrico Caruso - The Compl. has been added to your Basket. 7 Enrico Caruso Enrico Caruso was an Italian operatic tenor. Only primitive recordings exist, but his was the only voice that could rival Pavarotti's. Makes Freddie Mercury and every other rock or pop singer sound like an amateur. Crosby's trademark warm bass-baritone voice made him the best-selling recording artist of the 20th century, having sold over one billion records, tapes, compact discs and digital downloads around the world. 19 Karen Carpenter Karen Anne Carpenter was an American singer and drummer.
